Alex Marshall

Group Director at Clarke Energy, a Rehlko Company

Alex Marshall is Group Business Development and Marketing Director at Rehlko’s Clarke Energy business, where he focuses on resilient power infrastructure, distributed energy systems, and the accelerating energy demands of AI and digital infrastructure.

With more than 20 years of international experience across distributed generation, combined heat and power (CHP), microgrids, biogas, hydrogen-ready power systems, and hybrid energy solutions, Alex works closely with hyperscale, colocation, utility, and industrial stakeholders navigating the growing challenge of balancing speed-to-power, reliability, energy resilience, and long-term decarbonization.

Alex is increasingly recognized for helping shape industry discussions around resilient and lower-carbon power architectures for data centers, particularly as grid constraints, speed-to-power requirements, power availability, and infrastructure deployment timelines become critical market bottlenecks for AI infrastructure growth. His recent work has focused on practical structured transition pathways that allow data center operators to deploy reliable power rapidly while preserving optionality for future decarbonization and evolving grid integration.

Alongside his role at Clarke Energy and Rehlko, Alex serves as Vice President of the COGEN World Coalition, participates in the iMasons Climate Accord Power Working Group, and is a Council Member of the World Biogas Association. These roles reflect his broader involvement in the future of resilient, lower-carbon infrastructure systems spanning digital infrastructure, distributed power, renewable gases, and global energy transition pathways.

His work combines technical, commercial, and strategic perspectives on how distributed energy systems can support the next generation of AI-driven infrastructure growth.
