Alessandro Lombardi is the Founder and Chairman of Elea Data Centers, where he leads the company’s expansion of large-scale digital and AI infrastructure across Brazil and Latin America. Under his leadership, Elea has grown into one of Brazil’s largest carrier-neutral data center platforms, operating a nationwide network of interconnected campuses focused on hyperscale, cloud, and AI deployments powered entirely by renewable energy.

Lombardi has played a key role in advancing sustainable and energy-efficient digital infrastructure in the region, including the development of Rio AI City, a multi-gigawatt AI ecosystem designed to support the next generation of artificial intelligence infrastructure. He has helped pioneer ESG-linked financing models for digital infrastructure in Latin America, aligning capital investment with measurable sustainability and diversity goals. He has also led strategic partnerships and investments that continue to position Elea as a major player in the global digital infrastructure market, including the company’s recent acquisition agreement with I Squared Capital to accelerate large-scale AI and hyperscale expansion across Brazil.

In addition to overseeing Elea’s growth strategy, Lombardi is actively involved in industry leadership initiatives and serves on the Advisory Council for Infrastructure Masons, supporting collaboration and innovation across the global digital infrastructure sector.

His leadership has been recognized through recent notable industry honors, including being named PTC’s Outstanding Digital Infrastructure Investor, which recognizes leaders driving digital infrastructure investment, and inclusion in Capacity’s 100 list of CEOs, founders and visionaries helping the industry adapt to new challenges.
